UP has a yard along the KP east of Denver that serves quite a few industries out this way. Power for these jobs is 4 axle units, be they standard cab ones or "Butt Heads". Today, some of the power is this ex MP GP15-1 now working for UP, but disguised as a UP Y unit. This is along 37th Street across from the Denver Jail and Colo DOC Induction center and Womens Facility. To the west of this line is where the new RTD Light Rail is going. This is all along Smith Road as well as the aforementioned 37th St |
